You don't need another app.
You need an off switch.

Abbanti is a mental fitness gym: short live classes on a weekly timetable that train your mind to switch off and focus. Built for the part of you that never clocks off.

15 to 30 minutes · Cameras off · Card not charged until classes start on 2 November

A young professional meditating at her desk

Sound familiar? Even one of these?

Your body's at home. Your mind is still at work.

It's 11pm and I'm still replying to emails. In my head.

Exhausted all day. Wired at night.

Tension in my neck and shoulders by lunchtime.

A knot in my stomach before the week's even started.

Sunday scaries, but most nights.

Most people recognise one or two. That's all it takes.

None of this means you're broken. You've had years of practice at switching on. Nobody taught you how to switch off. That's what we do here.

What's actually going on

Your evenings never really start.

You close the laptop at 6. Your body doesn't get the memo. Your heart's still racing, the wind-down never comes (or takes hours), your neck and shoulders are still carrying the pressure, and your stomach's still tight. By the time you've calmed down, it's midnight, and you're lying awake replaying the day.

That isn't a personality flaw. It's a mind and body that have had years of practice at "on" and almost none at "off". The good news: off is a skill. Skills can be trained.

Two evenings

Same day. Different night.

An evening on autopilot

  1. Laptop closed. Brain still in the meeting.

  2. Dinner, half listening, checking Slack under the table.

  3. Scrolling to "relax". Somehow more wired.

  4. Bed. Replaying what you should have said today, and rehearsing tomorrow.

  5. Wide awake. Again.

An evening that's been trained

  1. Laptop closed. A two-minute reset you've practised all week.

  2. Dinner, actually there for it.

  3. Deep Set: 30 minutes to wind down properly.

  4. V2R: tomorrow planned, today put down.

  5. Sleep that feels like sleep.

What it's costing you

Never switching off isn't free.

Your sleep

Broken sleep or lying awake at 3am, then running on caffeine to make up for it.

Your evenings

The hours that are meant to be yours, with your mind still half at work.

Your focus

Sharp at 9, foggy by 11, exhausted by 4, and somehow busy all day.

Your body

Headaches, tight shoulders, a stomach that knots on Sunday night.

Your people

Present in the room, absent in your head.

Your weekends

Saturday recovering, Sunday dreading. Repeat.

You've probably tried

Scrolling. Netflix. That meditation app
you downloaded in January.

They're solo

Nobody's expecting you, so it's the first thing to go when the week gets busy.

They're random

A different video every night is a distraction, not a training plan.

They don't fit a real day

An hour of yoga is lovely. It's also not happening on a Tuesday.

A woman with her eyes closed, calm, surrounded by soft white flowers

Why willpower doesn't work

You can't think your way out of a stressed body.

"Just relax" doesn't work because stress isn't only a thought. It lives in your breathing, your muscles and your gut. Telling yourself to calm down is like telling yourself to be fitter: it isn't a decision, it's a capacity you build.

That's why Abbanti starts with the body, settling your body with breathwork first, and then training the mind while it's ready to learn. Short, regular reps. The same way you'd build any other strength.

The science, in plain English

Your brain changes with what you practise.

Neuroplasticity

Repeated practice rewires what your brain does by default. Practise worry and you get good at worry. Practise switching off, and that gets easier too.

Practical techniques

Tools from NLP you actually use: reframing a spiralling thought, anchoring a calm state, picturing tomorrow going well.

Breathwork and mindfulness

Guided mindfulness and breathing settle your body first, so the training actually lands.

The timetable

Three classes. One habit.

Mon 6:30am · 15 min

The Morning Mile

Set your focus before the inbox does.

Mon & Thu 8:30pm · 30 min

Deep Set

The evening wind-down; train your off switch.

Wed 8:30pm · 30 min

Rewire

Attention training for the thoughts that keep you wired.

Plus the V2R evening app

Under five minutes before bed to close the day on purpose: breathe, brain-dump tomorrow, picture where it's taking you, set your intention, and let sleep do the rest.

Coming next

Unwind, a 20-minute lunchtime reset, joins the timetable in January. Every class is UK time and recorded, so time zones don't matter.

Inside a Deep Set class

What actually happens in 30 minutes.

  1. 1

Arrive (minutes 0–5). Cameras off, lights down. A few slow breaths to mark the end of the working day.

  2. 2

Downshift (5–15). A guided body scan that lets the day's tension go, one area at a time.

  3. 3

Train (15–25). The skill of the week: noticing a thought loop and stepping out of it.

  4. 4

Close (25–30). A short reset you can repeat on your own, any evening, in two minutes.

No talking, no sharing, nothing to prepare. Just follow along.

The V2R evening ritual

Under five minutes before bed.

Your brain processes the day while you sleep. V2R gives it something better to work with.

  1. Ground

    Breathwork to settle your body.

  2. Plan

    Brain-dump tomorrow's tasks, no judgement.

  3. Visualise

See where tomorrow's actions take you.

  4. Anchor

Write your intention, then let sleep do the work.

Your first 30 days

What to expect, week by week.

  1. Week 1

Show up to two classes and try V2R. That's the whole job. Take a 1-minute check-in so you have a starting point.

  2. Week 2

Pick your regular slots. Notice when the old patterns kick in; that's the first skill.

  3. Week 3

The resets start to feel automatic. You'll use them outside class without thinking.

  4. Week 4

Check in again and compare. Coached members review it with their coach.

What it isn't

No forced positivity. No awkward circles.

You won't be asked to introduce yourself, share your feelings or say affirmations into your camera. You won't be told to "just think positive". Abbanti is practical training: you follow along, you practise a skill, you leave lighter. That's it.

A calm, tidy workspace at the end of the day

Is it for you?

Abbanti is for you if

  • Your stress shows up in your body: sleep, stomach, shoulders, headaches
  • You're good at your job and bad at switching off from it
  • You want something practical, not a pep talk
  • You can find 15 minutes, two or three times a week

It's not for you if

  • You're in crisis or need medical or psychological treatment; please contact your doctor or your local emergency services
  • You want a quick fix with no practice
  • You're looking for a social network; this is a gym, not a group chat
Laura Abbatangelo, founder of Abbanti

Who's behind it

Hi, I'm Laura.

I've spent my working life where stress is made: big corporate offices first, then more than a decade leading teams on the UK's railways, where early starts, shift work and high-stakes days are just the job. Alongside that, I've coached professionals one to one since 2012.

The pattern was always the same: capable people running on empty, who had never been taught how to switch off. Abbanti is how I teach it.

Questions

Good questions.

Is this therapy?

No. Abbanti is mental fitness training. It uses neuroplasticity, NLP techniques and mindfulness to train your mind to switch off and focus, using breathwork to settle the body first. It isn't treatment for a clinical condition; if you're working with a GP or clinician, Abbanti sits alongside that.

Do I have to be on camera or talk?

Never. Cameras off is always fine, and nobody is asked to share anything. You can just show up and train.

How long are the classes?

15 to 30 minutes. Most members do two or three a week, plus the V2R app before bed.

What if I miss a class?

Every class is recorded and in the Library within 24 hours, so you can train whenever suits you, from anywhere.

I've never meditated. Is this for me?

Yes. Every class is fully guided and made for beginners. If you can sit for 15 minutes, you can train.

When do classes start?

Monday 2 November 2026. If you join before then, your card isn't charged until classes start.

Can I cancel?

Any time, from your account. If you cancel within 14 days of your first payment, you get a full refund.

Can I expense it?

Many employers cover wellbeing costs. Every payment comes with a receipt you can submit.

What happens after I join?

You get instant access to Abbanti: a welcome from Laura, the timetable, and the V2R app to try that night. Classes start Monday 2 November.

Is Abbanti suitable if I'm already seeing a therapist?

Often, yes. Abbanti is training, not treatment, and many people use it alongside other support. If you're unsure, check with your therapist or GP and read Before You Train.

What does Coached actually include?

A 30-minute 1:1 with a coach every calendar month to tailor your training, plus every Abbanti programme. You can buy extra 1:1s if you want more.

Your mind deserves a gym too.

Train your off switch. Classes start Monday 2 November.
